Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

PStooEZ is an independent PS2 cheat management application for PCSX2. References to "we", "us", or "our" refer to the PStooEZ project. Contact: dexrtertm@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect the minimum necessary to operate the service:

When you use the app, it may generate anonymous usage logs locally for crash diagnostics. These logs stay on your machine and are not transmitted unless you manually submit a bug report.

3. Information we don't collect

• Cheat codes or memory addresses — all cheat state lives in .pnach files on your PC
• Anthropic API key — stored only in the app's local settings, never sent to our servers
• Game ROMs, BIOS files, or save data — we have no access to these
• PS2 memory contents — memory reads go directly between the app and PCSX2 on your machine
• Payment details — payments are handled entirely by PayPal; we never see card numbers or bank details
• Browsing history, location, or device identifiers

4. How we use your information

• Authenticate you when you sign in
• Deliver your Classified license key after purchase
• Enable social features: friends list, cheat sharing, notifications
• Display your username and avatar in community features
• Respond to support requests you initiate

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties. Ever.

5. Data storage and security

Account data is stored with Supabase, which provides encrypted data at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plaintext.

While we take reasonable precautions, no online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential.

Data is stored on servers in the United States.

6. Third-party services

PStooEZ integrates with these external services. Each has its own privacy policy:

We do not embed advertising trackers, analytics SDKs, or social media pixels in the app or website.

7. Your rights

You can at any time:

• Access your data by signing in at pstooez.com/account
• Correct your username or other profile information in Settings
• Delete your account via Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, friends data, and notifications from our servers.
• Export your cheat data at any time — it's already on your PC as plain-text .pnach files

8. Children's privacy

PStooEZ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we'll post a notice in the app or on Discord. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
